The plowl from a three-quarter view: glossy rust-brown glaze with blue-grey streaks and visible throwing rings
Back to all work

Ceramics · No. 02

The plowl.

Part plate, part bowl: wide enough for dinner, deep enough for anything saucy. A glossy rust-brown glaze breaks into streaks of blue-grey across the rim, and the throwing rings still show in the center. The foot is left bare, showing off the warm terracotta clay and the maker's stamp.
